THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE is now accepting resumes for a Recreation & Facility Manager The Municipality of South Bruce is seeking a Recreation & Facility Manager with strong leadership skills to join our management team. Located in Bruce County Ontario, and including the Villages of Mildmay, Teeswater and the Hamlet of Formosa, the Municipality offers the appeal of both small town and country living in a rural setting for our residents. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Facility & Recreation Manager is an integral member of the management team. The successful candidate will oversee the management of the Municipality's facilities including two community centres, two outdoor pools, municipally owned buildings, parks, and recreation programs. The successful candidate will provide effective advice to Council in developing and implementing departmental policies and objectives and provide effective leadership to staff, directing the human, financial and physical resources of the Facility and Recreation Department. The ideal candidate will bring to the position: -Minimum three years' experience in a management position with demonstrated skills in preparing and monitoring capital and operational budgets, employee supervision and public relations,(equivalent education will be considered in lieu of some of the required experience); -Strong public relation skills and experience working with a broad range of community groups and organizations and the general public. -Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication, time management, report writing and information technology skills. Additional assets we will consider are: -Knowledge and skills in recreation facilities and program management acquired through a Community College diploma program, or Ontario Recreation Facilities Association certification; -Experience in a recreation and parks setting This is a full-time management position with competitive salary and an attractive benefits package.
